Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and a writer. She is most well recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions until she made it big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in the year 1957. In the same calendar year she released her first music album called It's Tina Time. Her first appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. During this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The next notable role she played in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her to play in the year 1964. Louise continued to juggle her work in between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more realistic roles as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. But, over the last few years she was also a prominent director of popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August on the 28th of August, 1965. The family moved to Toronto for her childhood. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver in Canada following her choice for the lead role.
