Silk was born Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Peter who was an academic and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actress, director, producer, educator, playwright and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna can recall some of her first memories when she was a kid, such as watching her mom work at play rehearsals. Silk played a role as a young girl in several commercials. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011, in Fredericton, after the bride converted to Judaism.
